Room before the pull, we find that it is always best to start in the corner furthest from the door.
Always pull straight on "the Claw" may be at an angle but the cable should always be straight out of the bearing block.
A small amount of pressure to "the Claw" and it will grab the carpet and you can start pulling. No clamps or tacky strips to deal with.
Once "the Claw" has grabbed the carpet, the winch on this carpet puller does all the work.
As you can see in this photo the carpet starts to shred before the claw will "let go" easy to correct by stopping the carpet puller.
Cutting off the carpet an reapplying the "claw" and your pull continues.
Taking the slack out of the line is critical. Pulling up on the cable as the winch engages and you apply pressure to the claw until the excess cable wound into the winch.
We cut the carpet into 4' wide strips so that it is easier to handle when removing from the room. The Carpet Claw™ will pull pieces much wider if you need it to.
